Heshima is a charity and engages in these activities in the earliest stages where no viable business plan exist, and loans and private equity are not within reach as yet. Typically we seek small and medium entreprises in Africa who want to test new ideas, such as in agriculture, energy, water, crafts, etc. Heshima supports in cash and in kind; financially and by making business expertise available at no cost.

-         microcredit with a high risk profile (so typically young Micro Credit organisations who want to get started

-         education that will allow people a stronger position in the labor market, such as secondary education and professional skills training. We prefer to provide this support through scholarships, though we also support institutions.
