Heshima aims to facilitate private individuals who want to engage directly themselves in a Development project.

If you have an idea of a project that you want to actively support in a substantial way, then you can join Heshima. You work with the project yourself. Hehima will provide the required infrastructure such as the Netherlands tax-deductable legal entity and the website where you can publish the project, which is required for most institutional co-sponsors.  Heshima can provide the required knowledge through it's network, in direct fundraising and in Governments sponsored financing (Mede-Financiering), in Financial affairs, and in the actual communication with the executors in Africa. The network are all private people who are not professionally engaged in development, and receive no remuneration for any activity.

It's a network of highly educted and engaged development-hobbyists.
